The design of the Cbi Navi 40 m Explorer
The design of the Cbi Navi 40 m Explorer is the first case, in our twenty-years-story, that we design the second Explorer Yacht for the same Client.
This experience is very interesting because gave us a great feedback from a Client and his Crew that have been sailing already thousands of miles on an Hydro Tec Explorer.
Usually our Explorer Clients come from a planning hull or, in any case, from a faster vessels and subjects are very basic, regarding mainly sea keeping, fuel consumption, on board volumes, range....
In this case our conversations went much more into details, from the wine cellar location and volume, to the proper working bench in the lazzarette, including the custom design of the perfect tender with lines resembling the yacht.
The result is a high volume 40 metre yacht, with a masculine but elegant profile and refined lines, with a perfect balance between internal areas and open spaces, a hull studied by using CFD systems in cooperation with the Marin Institute of Wageningen, and a careful selection of all components and machineries. The Cbi Navi 40 m Explorer will be delivered to her Owners in Spring 2018.
